Read this scripture:
“So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place,”
Isaiah 28: 16 & 17
We are building God’s church in the presence based on the foundation God established leading to Jesus; birth, testimony/ministry, crucifixion and resurrection. One does not build an architecture without a foundation. One does not build a home without a foundation of knowledge and understanding.
(SPIRITUAL REFLECTION- Proverbs 24: 3 & 4: “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”)
Jesus fulfilled the morals of humanity; thus, an innocent man, baring no sins, died as all humans died based on reality of sin entering humanity. Jesus represents this very point of God’s ordain Word to humans.
(SPIRITUAL REFLECTION- Ephesian 2: 19-22: “Consequently, you are no longer foreigner and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”)
The details and measurements used for a structure is carefully considered to establish a repository exposed to civilization (such as the Leaning Tower, the Empire State Building, the Twin Towers and the pyramids)
The foundation God built His church upon is a relationship with Him.
(SPIRITUAL REFLECTION- I Corinthians 3: 11-13: “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay of straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.”
The way to God is not a path made in the woods based on the erosion of land, It is a carefully, thought-out passage. The truth about life is not a formality based on theology, doctrine and facts. The truth is a person (“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him have seen him.”- John 14: 6 & 7) Christianity is not an arrangement of beliefs, mental arguments and principle. It is a relationship. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of that relationship with God. (“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trust in him will never be put to shame.”- I Peter 2: 6). What we recognized as B.C. on the calendar is the foundation of God’s Word for humankind. What we see revealed as the Book of Revelation is the testimony of knowing the reality of the true God. Revelation is the relationship between the church and the creator, the Body as the Bride of God, humanity and Heaven. We are here today to witness the disclosure of the new covenant with the Lord and humans. May our eyes become aware of the conciseness of His presence.
