Knowing the truth will set one free- what does this mean?
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’”- John 14: 6
The truth is something contingent upon itself. A fruit tree is true to the fruits it bears. Gravity is real because it exists based on the laws of nature. You can not disproof gravity or establish a moral to stop it. Likewise, one cannot create or destroy energy. It is an existence matter within itself. My son (who is 12 yrs. at this moment in my life) mocks me when he says, “Dad, you can believe it all you want, but it does not make it true.”
The truth is not an acknowledgement of laws and facts. It is a concept based on relationship with reality; knowing God does not mean we know why He exist and can proof it with our faith. Nevertheless, our walk in life reflects the awareness of His present that no one who witness it can testify otherwise. Our relationship with Jesus is what makes our salvation real. Jesus makes the statement, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – JOHN 8:32. Those who believe in Him witness His truth daily. Christianity is not a doctrine of laws with history of theology. It is a present tense relationship with the creator of all humanity. What we live for is what we die to testify as our lives. Our tombstones answers to the words we belief follow and worship. Who we evolve to eternal destiny of truth, fate & essence. Mother Nature dance with death daily. We kiss our lover as our tongue speaks our salvation (SPIRITUAL REFLECTION: The hearts of the wise makes their mouths prudent and their lips promote instruction”- Proverbs 16: 23) Our lifestyle gives our attestation to what we desire to be true. Rather we live for the right reason or dies for a false god, we understand the reason we gave our lives promenade.
