I often felt that love & faith were the most desirable fruits of the Holy Spirit and patience is one of the hardest. However, as I search deeper within my character I notice how enduring self-control. It’s actually is the root to which I find patience grows. It is where I see discipline, virtue, integrity & honor. I can show patience, yet have the wrong attitude. When I arrest my ego and place the characteristic of spirituality on my pathway, then I can grow into the person whom I dream to be. When you practice a proper diet, exercise, meditate on the regular bases, pray to God daily and try to reach a continuing affectionate relationship with your spouse, it is the fruit of self-control which nurtures it.
As we see the beauty within nature; the endless times of grass growing, the reflection of sunrays on ocean waves, the harmony of crickets and evening skies, plus frogs and damp swampy waters, creeks, rivers & streams traveling endlessly towards their destination, such a path reveals purpose, intention and guidance. It is through developed plan that the stars reach their destinations at night. As we witness self-control we are able to respond in course with nature; Mother Nature smiles, Heaven cries and Earth breathes.
