Do you feel guilty when you sin? Are you aware that your actions, behavior, beliefs, thoughts, attitude at a present moment is wrong and sinful? Not everybody is aware of their sins. Nevertheless, this does not stop the natural human process of feeling guilty as well as the process and course of the sin with its consequences. The morality of guilt is a human conscience function revealing the healthy nature of a human being. Guilt is like the pain one feels when putting their hand on a hot stove. Rather one knew before or did not know before that it’s not good to put your hand on a hot stove, when they actually do it they feel pain and respond by removing their hand and (hopefully) learn a lesson to not put their hand there again. This completes the moral process.
(READ) John 9:35-41 “Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said. ‘Do you believe in the Son of Man?’ Jesus said, ‘You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.’ Then the man said, ‘Lord, I believe,’ and he worshiped him. Jesus said, ‘For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.’ Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, ‘What? Are we blind too?’ Jesus said, ‘If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim, you can see, your guilt remains.”
Jesus refers to the acknowledgement of guilt when it comes to sin as a form of spiritual vision or spiritual blindness. He takes notice and gives an explanation of how healthy one is based on one’s awareness of their guilt. Then He does something only the Son of God can do; He removes the sin through forgiveness.
(READ) Like 5:21-26 “The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, ‘Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sin but God alone?’ Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven, or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins’ So he said to the paralyzed man, ‘I tell you, get up take you mat and go home.’ Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. Everyone was amazed and gave praised ton God. They were filled with awe and said. ‘We have seen remarkable things today.’”
When someone has established a valid relationship with Jesus Christ they no longer burden by the guilt of sin because its forgiven. This mental psychological process is nothing short of a miracle equal to a woman becoming a mother and giving birth. However, there is a deeper matter to observe on this subject. As a Christian is one supposed to continue to feel guilty when they have established a relationship with Jesus Christ to have their guilt removed
(SPIRITUAL REFLECTION) Psalms 32:1 & 2 “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.”
The answer to this question depends on how spiritual healthy the Christian is. The healing process of repentance to establish removal of sin whereby one guilt does not remain in their conscious is based around their relationship with Jesus Christ. The stronger and deeper the bond the healthier and better the spiritual process. This concept is the entire ideology of Christianity theology and virtues of this religion. It is because of this deep, psychological process that Jesus Christ had to be physically put to death on a cross. Take a moment to pause… breathe and take in the reality of this statement within your aura.
