FATHER'S LOVE

FATHER’S LOVE

I remember when my Dad would laugh. He was a huge man of 6 ft and 1 inch with broad shoulders. His father (my grandfather) was a boxer. My Dad was a very smart man who commanded respect. There was a mentality of security while residing within his household as if everything will be resolved. There were no worries of any sudden shift of morality. There was a comfort of faithful, loyalty when I reflected on carrying my Dad’s name. His present was good, yet stern. I never question why I fear my Dad. I always knew his relationship was coming from a good place. He loved me.
It’s hard seeing our Heavenly Father as a God who can laugh. When we consider the moral of facing God it based on an absolute understanding that He is all-powerful. Having a loving father respect for God reflecting fear and endurance is a hard concept to balance. God is a sovereign Lord, yet, He is compassionate, gentle and a loving Father. He is not a tyrant leader of dictatorship as a controlling God. His love and respect come from a moral of honor and admiration. Our love for His kingdom keeps us faithful to remain His children.
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wing, and you were not willing. Look, you house is left to you desolate. I tell you, will not see me again until you say. ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’
Luke 13: 34 & 35
Remember the house you were raised. Remember the relationships you had as a child with your parents, sibling and kinship. This concept is supposed to reflect something good. Nevertheless, our loyalty to our Heavenly Father keeps us as a soldier in war for His kingdom. The balance of family within a home and blood shed for the sake of the King puts Jesus in control. He is a loving King who brings us joy and a foundation for us to always grow upon. Our King is a Lord who reveals Himself as a father who loves His children.
