​PEACE INTERNALLY TRANSPARENT

 
            Does justice in this generation reflect peace? What kind of peace does Jesus have? Jesus brings inner peace. Conflict between brothers will rest upon the grave of men who find no reconciliation. When we consider the moral of no war, no crime, no violence, no argument, no discrimination of race, gender or social status; when we consider the lovey-dovey friendship of harmony and peace among humans, we are not reflecting the peace Jesus proclaims.
            “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn, ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law- a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’”                                                                                      Mathew 10:34-36
How did Jesus dress His soldiers?
            “Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts- no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. Whatever town or village you enter search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. As you enter the home, give it your greeting. If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet. Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgement than for that town.”               Mathew 10:9-15
Read these scriptures and reflect. Is Jesus talking about a land with no war?
            Jesus is reflecting a kingdom of a higher calling. He is not resting His name upon the physical reality of this world. He does not answer to the physical limitation of death itself. Read these scriptures and reflect upon Jesus’ word.
            “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advoate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heats be troubled and do not be afraid.”                                John 14:25-27
Jesus long for an eternal relationship reflecting not separation by sin, lacking conflict within authority, leaving no room for betrayal. Jesus is not condemning this world with judgement. His words rest upon the everlasting domination of His kingdom reflecting eternal harmony between the Holy Spirit and humanity.
Reflect on these scriptures to understand how God feels about our species:
            “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gather her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”         Mathew 23”37-39
How does Jesus expect His soldiers to dress as civilians among the culture of this world which does not reflect His home?.
            “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”       
                                                                                                                        Colossians 3:12-14
God desire inner peace, spirit to spirit between Himself and his creation. We may not witness this reality physically with a naked eye. The same way that we don’t see light waves of energy of all the light spectrum. We only able to witness 10% of all that is really there. Humans may not have the ability to grasp the depth of God’s eternal, peaceful. light that exist between Heaven and Earth. Nevertheless, Jesus’ kingdom reflects this reality and reigns forever as Heaven’s Kingdom dominate here on Earth.
