REVIVE, REBIRTH, REFRESH

Christianity came about within the century of Jesus death and resurrection. The word “Christianity” actually formed during the early ministry of the remaining 12 Apostles as we can find this information through reading the book of Acts (SPRITUAL REFLECTION: Acts 11:26) There are trends and term woven throughout generations within history. Christianity was one of them. Not that the reality of the meaning wasn’t true; Jesus did life. He was the Son of God, He was crucified and He was resurrected.  It’s not the message that I’m focusing on. It is the terminology, like a Viro social media message, internet broadcast that is tagged within today’s modern generation. These are words which represent and shifts the knowledge within a generation… a trend. In today’s generation the word apologetic has risen to illustrate the walk and testimony of Christians. Is this term appropriate for the message of Christianity? Was Jesus an apologetic?
The Greek word “apologia” which is the root word “apologist” coms from means defense. The idea is that as a Christian we should be able to defend to anyone why our faith is true. Now consider the morality of this though- was Jesus an apologetic within His days? He was the Son of God. Did He need to defend the fact that He was God’s son within His era? Yes, He did. By definition of human nature, we all are apologetic as a certain level of psychology just as we are all “bias” by human nature. Why would one need to defend their beliefs of Jesus’ testimony? Why does one doubt it to be true in today’s moral state of reality?
Consider message behind this scripture:
“Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened. But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. For it is better, if it is God’s will to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit”                          -           I Peter 3:13-18
Darkness covers the real image. It also blinds the vision for one to see. We need to be apologetic today because people still desire to prove that Jesus is not the Son of God. People still want to prove a lie is real. Until the day comes that we all embrace the truth as real as we embrace the morality of blue being daylight; we will have the need to bear witness to Jesus’ testimony. This is the Revelation that comes based on the death, resurrection and forgiveness from Jesus Christ. Eventually we as a species need to accept the true reason for A.D.
