SALUTE TO OUR KING

Salute to our king

What is the difference between Jesus’ teaching, and the religion of Christian against other religion? Jesus deals with the concept of sin whereby He overcomes death. There are religions which focus on the good & evil of the world; the bad & good within human nature, the right & wrong that is blatantly obvious within society. Nevertheless, Jesus’ life, plus His teachings focuses on the heart of what hurts God…our sins. What is the difference between something that is morally right and wrong and an offense against the Holy Spirit? One who testifies to separating such an act as this is epic within humanity and resembles the nature of a true messiah. God is a who with a personality, a nature and a conduct of character. He spent most of the Old Testament and first five thousand years of humanity illustrating and displaying His nature.
(SPIRITUAL REFLECTION: Exodus 33: 13&14- “’If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.’” The Lord replied, “’ My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’”
Deuteronomy 10:12&13- “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?’”)
Understanding the nature of God and leaning into Him for a lifestyle and as a dragoman for life pleases Him. Take into account the story in the scripture of Rahab the prostitute.
(SPIRITUAL REFLECTION: Joshua 2: 1-14- “Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. ‘Go, look over the land,’ he said, “especially Jericho.’ So they went and entered the house of a prostate named Rahab and stayed there. The king of Jericho was told, ‘Look. Some of the Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land.’ So the king of Jericho sent this message to Rahab: ‘Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, because they have come to spy out the whole land.’ But the woman had taken the two men hidden them. She said, ‘Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they had come from. At dusk, when it was time to close the city gate, they left. I don’t know which way they went. Go after them quickly. You may catch up with them.’ (But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them under the stalks of flax she had laid out on the roof.) So the men set out in pursuit of the spies on the road that leads to the fords of the Jordan, and as soon as the pursuers had gone out, the gate was shut. Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof and said to them. ‘I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below. Now then, please swear to me by the Lord that you will show kindness to my family, because I have shown kindness to you. Give me a sure sign that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them-and that you will save us from death.’ ‘Our lives for your lives!’ the men assured her. ‘If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the Lord give us the land’”)
Now consider this true historical story within the scripture. God was not concern (or focus) with this woman’s lifestyle or the morality of the fact that she lied to the official leaders of the land. Her heart was faithful to Him, and she feared His name. This pleased God. When Jesus came down here on Earth, He was not sent here to be a military warrior, or a religious political leader or an icon of beauty or glory to establish a higher standard of power (thus, a false god). He was a real human being living a human life based on human nature, but He did all of this towards the glory of the true God. His life became a living testimony. His innocence in nature removed the offense towards the Lord and gave a clear white mark of pure human life. This allowed him to escape the curse of death.
(SPIRITUAL REFLECTION; Mark 15:16-20- “The soldier led Jesus away into the place (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers. They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set in on him, ‘Hail, king of the Jews!’ Again and again, they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him. And when they mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him”)
It is important to realize that through Jesus Christ life the offense of sin towards humanity was removed from God’s eyes. Now the comfort of His Holy Spirit can rest upon His people. This completed the morals of the old covenant. This gives a new light of dawn for humanity which establishes a bloodline of eternal salvation. No other religion can promise eternal life based on the removal of sin. No other name but Jesus Christ can provide us with redemption and lead us as a king for an army for the battle of our souls. No other life can represent the meaning and power behind the act of the cross.
