I want to challenge your view on life. Life and time are cyclical. The shape of time and life is a circle. Though we tend to view and live out a focus of goals and achievements, fate does not move in a linear fashion. If we take into consideration Western global culture vs. Eastern global culture, we’ll incorporate two visual philosophies of creation. The Eastern view fate in a cyclical fashion of birth, maturity, death, then rebirth whereby all in the ecological system is connected and the central focus or purpose of our being to maintain balance within it. I agree with this philosophy. If we focus on the Western view, we hear more of an argument of creation vs. evolution with a central origin and beginning aspect of time whereby souls are growing into a destiny of ultimate judgement. This leaves our essence in this world or earthy realms reflecting a journey of salvation as our bodies will revert themselves back to dust as a shell remains a hard vessel on oceans’ shores.
“Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. The sun rises and the sun sets and hurries back to where it rises. The wind blows to the south and turns to the north round and round it goes ever returning on its course. All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full, To the place the streams come from, there they return again. All things are wearisome more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear is fill of hearing. What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, Look! This is something new’? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. No one remembers the former generations and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them” -Ecclesiastes 1:4-11
Think about the morals of the circle of life- that which is being done has already been done before; there’s nothing new under the sun. This allows us to see conflicting views of the linear concept of life & time verses its cyclical dimensions. (SPIRITUAL REFLECTION: Ecclesiastes 7:13-, “Consider what God has done: who can straighten what he has made crooked?) Let’s take ourselves out of the equation of being God. We do not need to answer as if we are the creator. Let’s allow our conscience to understand the morality if the seasons of life being in a cynical fashion while the destiny of fate for all of us is of a linear fashion leading one to a central purpose. Wise people accept the morality that they will die. It is the only consistent element in life which all humans can guarantee. What does is say about death of a righteous person verse the fate of a wicked person.
“The name of the righteous is used in blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.” Proverbs 10:7
“Whoever winks maliciously causes grief and a chatter fool; comes to ruin”
Proverbs 10:10
“The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin”
Proverbs 10:8
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out” Proverbs 10:9
“The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence” Proverb 10:11
There is only one thing that is certain for all life and that is the reality that we all will die one day. If we lean our heart to the biblical perspective of the worldview, we will see that all humans die based on the origin of sin within this creation. Jesus’ testimony and teachings focus on the atonement of sin. The essence of righteous man is resurrected and circle around the morals of fate while the wicked dies and remembered no more. (SPIRITUAL REFLECTION: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective”- James 5:16) When we consider this concept of cyclical as the shape of life, the greater realms and resurrection is within the eternity existence as a destiny. It makes more sense with the respect of good seeds of one’s humanity being rebirthed, recycled, redeemed. Nevertheless, we can look into history and notice the fact that life is growing as if the circle of time is continuously expanding, increasing the area of the circle to establish immensity within its environment.
My view of culture and life is limited. I have not traveled to become humbled and spiritually broken by witnessing multiples culture around the world. In my 60 years of life, I lived in three cities (Norwalk, CT, Fort Wayne, IN, Orlando, FL.) Within all these land mass I was based within the United States. I don’t claim to have all the answers in life. However, we can witness good and evil within human nature. And we can examine the fact that the wicked should face consequences of judgement and the righteous should find rescue and be saved from the fate of destruction. This is the very basic essence of justice. God is a God of purpose and meaning. He is a just God. HE does not operate with a mindset of random and multiple irrational variables equaling the destination of fate, morals and judgement. Nevertheless, one’s faith does not disagree to the mentality of being alive for some central purpose and meaning, while finding judgment of fate based on some sort of sound reasoning of justice.
That which is true is eternal. The moral of 2+2 will always equal 4. There is a word used by the Hebrews within the original translation of the Bible. That word is “hevel”. It means “short lived” or “fleeting”. The life of a righteous man is “fleeting”, yet the words which he speaks and the essence behind his name is eternal because they reflect the radiance of truth. The prayers of the righteous leaves a residue as smoke does from a candle, reflecting a scent, a fragrance, and an essence of existing. The candle has gone, yet the puff of smoke is real and forever being within the reality of having an existence. All these things are brought to the eyes of the Lord for His glory and His name, For all purpose in life and eternity is for the glory of God and we are created for the essence of bringing glory to His name.
