The Lord is good. This is a fact. It may not seem real at all times.
Whereby, humans are spiritual and physically limited in time; God is spirit and
has a heart which does not allow Him to be worn down as a machine nor be limited
by the doctrine of science. It is because of this relationship one must have
with God which makes life good. It allows us to grow and be saved and develop a
more healthy and positive outlook on reality. This relationship with God does
this transition in one’s life. All of this reveals the characteristic of the
fruit of goodness in the Holy Spirit.
The scriptures says it is good for a man to find a wife (Proverbs 18:22).
The goodness in this relationship between husband and wife reflects the moral of
goodness between God and His bride; the church. The key word to this
correlation of goodness between our Lord and his creation is “relationship”.
Because God is spirit with thoughts, a mentality, a will, desires, motives and
feeling, He requires a relationship between Himself and the body. It’s through
such a relationship that salvation for humankind is born and established. It is
the will of the Holy Spirit not our justification which makes one’s character
righteous. Living a life which a man calls good does not bring upon him
salvation. Holiness which brings righteousness for one’s soul and brought by
the price of the cross.
This concept can be in turmoil within a human’s spirit while he is here
upon this Earth. In themselves no human is neither good nor can determine his
own goodness for his sinful nature will not allow him. There is much history and
war between heavenly bodies and wickedness to bring this message and form a
balance of holiness here within the kingdom of Earth. Men have fought in armies
through numerous wars and much death has happened to bring the cause of justice
for one’s salvation. Jesus claims the victory in God’s name for this cause
through a grotesque moment in human’s history on the cross. All these things no
matter how trivial or painful brings on an overall honor of goodness, justice
and peace for our salvation. The Christ who is the author and finisher of all
human faith establishes a kingdom of Heaven here on Earth for the goodness of
humankind. This story completes the goodness in the nature of
God.
