There’s a person in my Bible Group whom I consider a good person. The reason I see him as good is because; he is transparent, honest, open and most of all genuine. Being whole and genuine is a key characteristic in being considered good. Think about a fruit: a peach, an apple or a banana, what we see which causes us to label it as good is it authenticity represents the fruit which we know it to be. If a peach is reddish-orange, flossy, tender and ripe; if we see pureness whereby we taste the juices in our mouth then we call it a good peach, likewise, towards the characteristic of goodness in humans.
I am not perfect. I sin quite often and I consider the consequences of my sins at all times plus witness how it overflows and affects other people whom I love. The Lord is not only good but also holy. In fact He is the only being existing which one can consider totally holy (Reflection Mark 10: 18). This nature of goodness God gives reflecting among those people on this Earth whom He loves. It reveals a genuine characteristic which literally only comes from Him. This characteristic gives morals of son-ship right. Are you a child of God? Are you good?
