Before humans discovered electricity, one would use fire as warmth and light when it was dark, and the sun had set for the night and there was no more sunlight for the day.
PSALMS 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains- where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord. The Maker of heavens and earth.
He will not let your foot slip- he who watches over you will not slumber;
Indeed, he who watches over Israel will
The Lord watches over you- the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life;
The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Okay, what does it mean to be saved? It means that your life was in danger, and you have been rescued from the threat. Salvation is not a matter of winning an argument between good and evil. As humans we are already doomed and condemned by the forces of evil. Salvation is a plan established within your life to save you from this condemnation. It is important to realize that by our very human nature we do not deserve to die and go to Heaven. Read the words of King David in Psalms 121. I do not often allow scriptures to simple speak my message in my article alone by themselves when I post in this blog. Because I feel you are searching into my philosophy within my writing for a deeper understanding of spirituality. However, I truly believe if your heart can not embrace the emotions bleeding through David’s words now illustrated as God’s Words within this scripture, you are totally lost and the simple concepts of Christianity will be meaningless to you. You need to recognize the fact that alone, by your human nature, you are in a confused world and the forces of the dark side are laws of mental strongholds to keep you confused and in the dark…. lost, bewildered, in pain, without a shepherd, destined to find no salvation and desire to live a life of peace, no pathway to find compassion towards one another which is the very nature and lifestyle our Lord calls us to live. This is what the story of salvation is all about.
